Choosing the Right Health Navigator or Patient Advocate for You
Hiring a patient advocate does not have to
be difficult.
Once you have identified advocates who may be able to help you, make initial contact by sending them your name and contact information, plus a brief (1-2 sentences) description of your request for help through email, or by calling them at the phone numbers listed. Keep in mind, depending on the services needed, an advocate may not need to be located near you. Interview them carefully to be sure they offer the services you need. The advocate will respond by letting you know whether s/he can or cannot provide the services you need, or needs more information. You may contact as many advocates as you like. |
